Isolaz Laser: Everything you Need to Know About This Acne Treatment

Ildikó Juhasz • March 29, 2022

Suffering from acne can ruin your confidence preventing you from being all you deserve to be. If you struggle with acne, you’ve likely tried everything with little to no results, but that is about to change. We will share what you need to know to get results with the latest innovative laser treatment for acne , Isolaz

Benefits of Isolaz

This FDA-approved acne treatment is a painless and non-invasive procedure that combines the power of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and vacuum technology to deep clean your pores. The vacuum loosens the dead skin, oil, and dirt that is stuck in your pores and the laser reduces the production of bacteria from the sebaceous gland.

How will this laser treatment get rid of acne ? The Izolaz laser cleanses the skin, disinfects it, and promotes healing. It kills bacteria and prevents them from multiplying again. With continuous treatments, all the bacteria will be gone.

In addition to giving you cleansed skin, this treatment decreases pore size, reduces redness, and improves skin texture. Results can be seen after only one session but an average of three to six sessions is needed to reap the greatest long-term results.

How to Prepare for the Treatment

As with any laser treatment, you want to avoid going to your appointment with tanned skin as it increases the risk of hyperpigmentation. It is also recommended to do this treatment only after you have stopped the use of Accutane as it can change the way that your skin reacts to the laser. All other skincare products may be used as usual.

What to Expect During the Treatment

Arrive at your appointment with skin that is makeup-free and cleansed. Your practitioner will start the treatment by cleansing your skin examining your skin’s condition to determine the appropriate laser settings for your skin. The Isolaz vacuum will then be used to gently loosen up the debris in your pores while the laser will be used to destroy any bacteria leftover.

The length of the procedure varies depending on the size of the treatment area and the severity of your acne. Expect to feel a warming sensation during the treatment. The Isolaz treatment doesn’t require downtime and sessions typically take less than 30 minutes with the timeframe depending on the area being treated.

After Care

After your treatment, you will likely be given a light peel solution to keep your skin clean and prevent the regrowth of bacteria. It is recommended to use sunscreen daily along with your daily skincare. Within the few days following your treatment, you can expect your acne to slowly flatten and dry out.

After the procedure, you may resume all activities including exercise, swimming, and saunas. You may also continue any other acne treatment or medication if needed.
