What Is LATISSE®?
LATISSE® is a product developed to help people have longer, fuller eyelashes. Originally, it was investigated as a glaucoma therapy, but over time doctors noticed that those using the product had longer fuller lashes. From that point, the product was re-developed with this aim in mind.
How Do You Use It?
LATISSE® is to be used by applying it to the upper lash line. Sterile applicators for this purpose are supplied along with the bottle. You should apply the product each night before you go to bed, but after you have removed your makeup and your contact lenses and cleaned your face.
The product should not be applied to the lower lashes. You should also be careful not to put the product directly into your eyes. Additionally, users should not re-use the applicators, but use a new one each time.
When Will I See Results?
It is usual to see results after using LATISSE® every night for around two months. Lashes should be thicker and fuller and should fall out less often, leading to an appearance of more lashes overall.
While continued use may help you maintain your results, it may be recommended to decrease your applications.
Are the Results Permanent?
While you continue to use this product, your eyelashes will be thicker and fuller. However, if you stop applying LATISSE®, eventually your eyelashes will return to their original state.
How Do I Know If This Treatment Is Right for Me?
It is safe and it works in practically everyone who uses it; so if you find your lashes too thin, it is likely a very good choice for you. Clinical studies conducted show that LATISSE® is suitable for most healthy adults who are frustrated with the current appearance of their upper eyelashes.
