Why Derm.ca
What makes a facial at a dermatology clinic different?
A spa facial is designed around relaxation. Ours are designed around your skin.
Assessed first
Your treatment is selected after your skin is examined, not booked from a menu and hoped for.
Matched to your skin type
Skin type, sensitivity and history all change what's appropriate. Getting that right is a clinical judgment.
Our own skincare line
Every treatment uses Revoderm Pharma, the medical skincare line developed and formulated by our own dermatology clinic.
A plan, not a one-off
Most skin concerns respond to a course of treatment and consistent home care. We'll tell you honestly what that looks like.
Medical facial FAQ
What is a medical facial?
A medical facial is a clinical facial customized to your skin type and concerns. It uses medical-grade Revoderm products for cleansing, exfoliation, extractions and targeted treatment, and is best for congestion, dullness, acne-prone skin and regular skin maintenance.
How is a facial at a dermatology clinic different from a spa facial?
A spa facial is designed around relaxation. Ours are designed around your skin. Your skin is examined first, and the treatment is matched to your skin type, sensitivity and history. Every treatment uses Revoderm Pharma, the medical skincare line developed and formulated by our own dermatology clinic.
Which facial treatment is right for me?
That's what the consultation is for. Your clinician will assess your skin and recommend the treatment, or combination of treatments, that suits your concerns and goals. Options include a medical facial, REVODERM™ Infusion, Dermalux LED phototherapy, a chemical peel, a laser facial and acne treatment.
Is there any downtime after REVODERM™ Infusion or LED light therapy?
No. REVODERM™ Infusion takes about 30 minutes, with no needles and no downtime. Dermalux LED phototherapy also takes about 30 minutes, is painless, has no downtime, and can be booked on its own or added to another treatment.
Will one facial fix my skin concern?
Most skin concerns respond best to a course of treatment and consistent home care. Your clinician will tell you honestly what that looks like for your skin.
