Latisse®
How soon will I see results?
Teens to adults who suffer from mild to severe acne scars are all prime candidates for one of our acne scar removal treatments. At Derm.ca, we use a variety of cutting edge procedures to deliver exceptional results for all types of acne for individuals of all ages.
Some people are willing to live with their acne scars, however, many feel embarrassment and let their scar affect their everyday life.
If you feel that your acne scarring is crippling your social life, limiting your ability to do simple things such as dating, getting in the way of employment opportunities, or inhibiting career advancement, you should schedule a consultation with one of our acne specialists.
How do I apply Latisse®?
After cleansing your face and removing makeup and contact lenses, place one drop of Latisse® on the sterile applicator and gently brush it along the skin at the base of your upper lashes. Use a fresh applicator for each eye and apply only to the upper lash line—not the lower lashes or directly into the eye.
Do I apply it to both upper and lower lashes?
No, Latisse® should only be applied to the upper lash line. The solution will naturally reach your lower lashes when you blink.
What happens if I miss a dose?
Simply apply Latisse® the next evening as usual. Don't try to "catch up" by applying extra—using more than once daily won't speed up your results.
Are there any side effects?
Some patients experience mild itching, eye redness, or dryness. In rare cases, darkening of the eyelid skin may occur, which typically reverses after discontinuing use. Our team can discuss any concerns before you start treatment.
What happens if I stop using Latisse®?
Your lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months. Many patients use Latisse® on an ongoing maintenance schedule to keep their results.
Can I wear contact lenses while using Latisse®?
Remove your contact lenses before applying Latisse® and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Do I need a prescription?
Yes, Latisse® is a prescription treatment. Call us to learn more and find out if it's right for you.
